Janneman Malan, after a great run of form against Australia, boarded the bus at the last minute as the 16th man in the team. George Linde has made it to the team in place of Tabraiz Shamsi who is unavailable for the series after the birth of his child.
Among the batting mainstays, Faf Du Plessis is back in the side for the first time since the World Cup, having been rested against England and Australia. He had let go of his role as a captain and Quinton De Kock is the one holding the reins.
