Pakistan cricket team with 118 victories hold the record for most wins in T20 internationals

Pakistan have played a total of 189 matches, the most games played by any international team in T20 cricket and boast a win percentage of 64.4. The Men in Green have been involved in a tied match thrice including the epic bowl out match against India in the inaugural edition of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2007. 

The Indian team with 101 wins in 156 matches are second on the list of most wins in T20 internationals. The Men in Blue have been involved in three tied encounters and have managed to prevail in the bowl out and super over respectively in each of those occasions. Interestingly, out of India’s 101 wins, 41 have come under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. The Indian team have a win percentage of 64 at home winning 37 of the 58 matches played. 

The South African team with a win percentage of 58.56 have won 85 of their 147 T20I matches. The Proteas have been involved in only one tied game against Sri Lanka in 2019 but ended up winning the match in the super over. 

Australia and New Zealand complete the top five list of teams with the most wins in T20 internationals. The trans-Tasmanian rivals played the first-ever T20 international match on February 17, 2005 and since then have managed to win 83 and 80 matches respectively. 

Two-time T20 World Cup champions West Indies with a win percentage of 45 have won 68 and lost 82 from 159 T20I matches.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan with 60 wins from 89 matches have a win percentage of 67.97, the best amongst all the teams in T20Is.
