After succumbing to an eight-wicket defeat in the first T20I, the Indian cricket team will look to bounce back against England in the second T20 match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
The ongoing five-match series is deemed as a dress rehearsal for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in India in October-November this year, with both sides looking to iron out chinks and form a perfect combination.
In terms of India vs England head-to-head record in the shortest format, the stats marginally favour the visitors, having won eight of the 15 T20Is while India have secured seven wins. Additionally, England have won four of their seven encounters against India in India.

The recent form also favours the Eoin Morgan-led side, winning four of their last five T20I while Virat Kohli’s Team India has won three of their last five matches in the shortest format.
World’s top-ranked T20 batsman David Malan is tipped to score a fifty in the upcoming T20I as he has scored 218 runs in his last five T20I matches at an average of 72.66 and at a strike rate of 150.34.

The second encounter at the newly renovated Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad is expected to be a boundary fest, and England will certainly rejoice at the opportunity given that they have hit an average of 15.4 fours and six sixes in their last five T20Is. On the other hand, India have hit an average of 11.8 fours and 6.2 sixes in the same number of matches.
The visitors will start as favourites against India in the second T20I on Sunday.
