England’s Dan Lawrence and Jack Burnham registered the highest partnership in Under-19 World Cup, with a 303-run stand for the second wicket against Fiji in 2016.

Electing to bat first, the England Under-19 cricket team lost their first wicket in the third over. But following the arrival of Burnham to the crease, the young English team averaged 6.8 runs per over as they went from 22/1 in 2.4 overs to 325/2 in 46.5 overs.

Dan Lawrence-Jack Burnham’s record partnership eclipsed the 273-run stand set by New Zealand's BJ Watling and Brad Wilson against Scotland in 2004. As a result of their record stand, Lawrence and Burnham also broke the previous English record in the tournament set by former England captain Alastair Cook and Samit Patel (164 runs) against New Zealand in 2004.

Lawrence’s 150-ball 174 went down in the record books as the highest score in Under-19 World Cup by an England Under-19 cricketer, as he and Jack Burnham guided England to a 299-run victory against Fiji.

Nathan McSweeney and Jason Sangha come in third on the list of highest partnerships in Under-19 World Cup, with their 250-run stand against Papua New Guinea in 2018.

Meanwhile, Jakob Bhula and Rachin Ravindra’s opening wicket stand of 245 runs against Kenya is fourth on this list.

The 240 runs stitched together by West Indies’ Donovan Pagon and Lendl Simmons against Scotland in 2002 completes the top-five list for highest partnership in Under-19 World Cup.
