Barcelona maintain unbeaten run with 3–1 win over Oviedo
Barcelona stayed unbeaten in LALIGA with a 3–1 win over Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere stadium. Oviedo shocked the visitors in the first half when Alberto Reina scored after keeper Joan Garcia misplayed a pass.
Despite heavy pressure and three key saves by Aarón Escandell, the hosts could not add a second goal. The team struck back after the break. Eric Garcia equalised after Escandell tipped a shot onto the post. Robert Lewandowski then gave the lead with a header from Frenkie de Jong’s cross. In the final moments, Ronald Araujo sealed the win with Marcus Rashford's corner.
On the other hand, Santi Cazorla, 40, made his first LALIGA start for the Asturian club. ‘I'm enjoying but suffering, we are making a massive effort as a team,’ he stated. The visitors remain second in LALIGA, two points behind Real Madrid, while Oviedo stay in the drop zone with three points from six games.
