Kim โ€˜Lakiaโ€™ Jong-min has returned to Gen.G Esportsโ€™ VALORANT team after a year away. The Korean player last competed for Gen.G in late 2023, where he helped the squad win Masters Shanghai 2024 and claim second place at Masters Madrid 2024.

He left the team during the recent off-season to recover from a wrist injury. Lakia stepped back from pro play and worked in esports consulting.

This return brings Lakia back with former teammates Kim โ€˜t3xtureโ€™ Na-ra and Kim โ€˜Karonโ€™ Won-tae. Gen.Gโ€™s roster also features Byeon โ€˜Munchkinโ€™ Sang-beom, Jung โ€˜Foxy9โ€™ Jae-sung, and Ha โ€˜Ashโ€™ Hyun-cheol. The team has not confirmed which player he might replace in the upcoming matches.

Gen.G leads Group Alpha in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 (VCT) Pacific Stage 2. Fans are eager to see if Lakia will step onto the stage in their next match against Nongshim RedForce on 8 August.
