Goalkeeper Becky Spencer has signed a permanent deal with Chelsea Women, which marks her return to the club after a solid loan spell last season. The Jamaican star spent the second half of the 2024/25 run at Chelsea as a cover.

Now, Becky has just secured a one-year contract, with an option to extend until 2027. She shared feeling ‘over the moon’ to have rejoined the magical club that is Chelsea—which has always ‘felt like home’ for her. Becky previously played for the Blues from 2016 to 2018.

Paul Green, Chelsea’s head of women’s football, praised her strong character and experience. ‘She settled in well during her loan and is a great character to have in the group. We all look forward to working with her again next season,’ he added.

Becky leaves Tottenham Hotspur Women after five and a half years, where she made 95 appearances across all competitions and kept 18 clean sheets in 76 Women’s Super League (WSL) games.
