Everlasting Luv out of MPL SG S9 after match-fixing probe

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Singapore has disqualified Everlasting Luv from the Season 9 Playoffs following an internal investigation into alleged competitive integrity violations. The team had recently qualified for the playoffs via the new Challenger Qualifiers, but concerns were raised after their Week 3 regular-season match against Sovereign SG.
League staff saw some strange moves in the match and started looking into it. They talked to players Akashi, Kyushu, and WILLYYY, and their answers didn’t match their gameplay or account records. The group in charge said all three played badly on purpose and tried to hide the truth during the check.
Each player is now banned for two seasons and can’t play in MPL Singapore until June 2026. The team is also out of the playoffs, which run from June 6 to 8. This is a big blow to the league’s goal of bringing in more teams from the community.
Everlasting Luv was one of six teams that made the playoffs. With them gone, the bracket changes, and Kingdom Esports now moves ahead to play Flash SG in the next round.
This isn’t the first time match-fixing has happened in Singapore’s esports. In 2021, VALORANT players Germsg and Dreamycsgo were banned from the said game's championship for 3 years due to match-fixing.
